Cenno
Privacy Policy
Cenno has no account and no server. Your ledger exists only on your devices and, if you turn it on, in your own iCloud. Exactly two things in the app go online: optional iCloud sync, and the feedback you choose to send.
Data storage
Everything you record, including transactions, budgets, accounts, ledgers and receipt photos, is stored in a local file on your device under Application Support with complete file protection. It is not transmitted to us and we have no way to read it.
iCloud sync (optional)
Sync is off by default. When you turn it on, the ledger file and receipt photos are placed in your private iCloud container for Cenno (iCloud.com.cenno.app) and carried between your own devices by Apple’s iCloud service, under your Apple Account and Apple’s iCloud privacy terms. We operate no server and cannot access that container. Turning sync off deletes nothing.
Feedback
The in-app Feedback screen sends exactly once, at the moment you tap Submit. It sends the title and description you wrote, up to three screenshots you chose, and five diagnostic values: app version, build number, device model, OS version and interface language. It never includes your ledger and no identifier is attached. Submissions are stored in our feedback system so we can reply and fix problems.
What we do not collect
- No personal information: no name, email or phone number
- No financial data: no transactions, balances or budgets
- No usage analytics or telemetry
- No location
- No advertising identifiers
- No cookies or tracking on this website
Third parties
Cenno contains no analytics, advertising or third-party SDKs. Purchases of Cenno Pro are handled by Apple through the App Store; we receive Apple’s purchase receipt and never your payment details.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes everything stored on that device. If you used iCloud sync, the container can be removed from iCloud settings under Manage Storage. To remove feedback you submitted, write to [email protected].
Children
Cenno does not knowingly collect data from children, or from anyone else beyond the feedback described above.
Changes
