$18.99 Became $21.49. Your Disney+ Bill Changes October 21.

Disney+ Premium is listed at $21.49 a month as of September 23, 2026, up from $18.99. Disney's own price page says subscribers who signed up before that date see the change on or after October 21, 2026. Here is where to look this week.

If you have been paying for Disney+ in the United States since before September 23, the price on your next bill is not the price on your last one.

On September 1, Apple’s App Store listing for the Disney+ app priced the no-ads Disney+ Premium plan at $18.99 a month. The live listing reads $21.49 today. Disney’s own price page explains the timing: the prices on it are for new subscriptions as of September 23, 2026, and anyone who signed up before that date “will see a price change in your billing cycle on or after October 21, 2026.”

That last phrase is the whole point. Nothing happened to your subscription on the date in the announcement.

The thing to check

  1. Find your next billing date. Disney’s subscriber agreement tells you exactly where it lives: “To see your next recurring billing date, log in to your account and view your account details.” Sign in at disneyplus.com, open your account details, and write the date down. That is the bill the new price lands on. The same agreement warns that the date can move — a monthly subscription that started on January 31 gets billed next on February 28 — so don’t assume it falls on the same day every month.

  2. Find the email. The agreement also says that in the event of a price change Disney “will attempt to notify you in advance of the change by sending an email to the email address you have registered for your account.” Search your inbox and your spam folder for mail from Disney. If you don’t want the new price, the agreement says you can cancel using the instructions in that email; if you don’t cancel in time, the subscription renews “at the price in effect at the time of the renewal, without any additional action by you.”

  3. Find out who bills you. If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, Disney’s agreement says that subscription is subject to the third party’s terms. Apple’s own support page, Cancel a subscription from Apple, shows where those subscriptions live. Apple’s listing currently shows the same numbers as Disney’s page — Disney+ Premium at $21.49 — and if you pay that way, the charge on your Apple receipt is the one to compare.

Then do the arithmetic the price page sets up. Disney+ Premium is $21.49 a month or $214.99 a year; a year of monthly payments comes to $257.88, so the annual plan is $42.89 cheaper. And if you are paying for Disney+ and Hulu separately, the Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium covers both no-ads services for $21.99, against $42.98 bought one at a time. The with-ads Disney+ plan is listed at $12.49.

Why it lands on your date and not theirs

A subscription price is a fact about a billing cycle, not about a service. Disney’s agreement charges your payment method “at the start of every new billing period,” which is why a single announcement produces a different bill date for every subscriber. It is also why the app-store route is different: Disney’s page notes that pricing through third-party billing partners may vary, and its agreement makes those subscriptions subject to the third party’s terms.

The money doesn’t move on the day a company posts a price. It moves on the day your card is charged, and the only place that date exists is your own account.
